Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the position of Constable (5-BPS), candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age Limit:
- 18 to 25 years (Age relaxation of 5 years as per government rules).
- Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation (Grade C or higher).
- Physical Requirements:
- For Male Constables:
- Minimum height of 5’7″ (170 cm), chest size 33-34 inches, must be able to run one mile in 7 minutes.
- For Female Constables:
- Minimum height of 5’2″ (157 cm), chest size 31-32 inches, must be able to run one mile in 10 minutes.
Provincial Quota for Recruitment:
- Open Merit 40%
- Punjab (Including Federal Territories like Islamabad): 50%
- Sindh: 19% (further divided into urban and rural areas)
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 11.5%
- Balochistan: 6%
- Azad Jammu & Kashmir: 5%
- FATA (merged districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa): 2%
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 3%
Application Process:
Download the application form from the official websites of Pakistan Railways Police or Pakistan Railways.The completed form, along with all necessary documents, should be submitted to the respective Railway Police lines in your division.
Candidates will undergo physical tests, including chest measurement, running, and stamina checks. Please bring a water bottle and running shoes for the test.The written test will include subjects such as Urdu, English, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, and Current Affairs. The test will be MCQ-based and may be conducted online.
Candidates must pass the physical test to be eligible for the written exam.Only those who pass the written exam will be called for an interview based on merit.
Important Notes:
No relaxation in age, height, chest, education, or other criteria will be allowed.Candidates will undergo medical examinations conducted by the divisional medical officer, and drug tests will also be performed (at the candidate’s expense).
All candidates must submit an affidavit confirming they are not involved in any criminal cases or FIRs. False information will lead to disqualification.Travel expenses for the physical test, written exam, and interview will not be reimbursed.
All documents will be verified; any discrepancies will result in disqualification and legal action.Candidates must complete the basic recruit course to be eligible for final employment. Failure to do so will result in termination.Additional Instructions for Government Employees:
